Step-by-Step Guide to Using Custom Box Dieline Templates

Welcome to the die line template page, where you can download Illustrator (PDF) templates to create stunning artwork layouts for your packaging. Follow these instructions to ensure optimal compatibility and maintain the quality of your artwork:

Download the Template: Click on the provided link to download the Illustrator (PDF) die line template for your specific box size and style.

Open the Template in Adobe Illustrator: Launch Adobe Illustrator and open the downloaded template file. Ensure you have the latest version of Adobe Illustrator for the best experience.

Layered Format: Keep your artwork in a layered format. Create a separate layer for your artwork while leaving the die line template on its own layer. This allows for easy management and adjustments.

Artwork on a Single Layer: Place all your artwork on a single layer within the template. Avoid using multiple layers for different elements to maintain clarity and organization.

Embed Linked Images: If you are using linked images in your artwork, make sure to embed them within the Illustrator file. Embedding ensures that the images remain intact and do not get disconnected when sharing or printing the file. To embed an image, select it and go to the “Object” menu, then choose “Embed.”

Outline Fonts: To prevent font-related issues, outline your fonts. Select the text elements in your artwork, then go to the “Type” menu and choose “Create Outlines.” This converts the fonts into vector shapes, ensuring consistent rendering across systems.

Include Font Files (if necessary): If your artwork relies on custom or non-standard fonts that are not widely available, include copies of the font files along with your artwork submission. This ensures accurate representation and avoids font substitution issues.

Expand/Outline Patterns: If your artwork includes patterns, expand or outline them to maintain consistency. Select the pattern elements, go to the “Object” menu, and choose “Expand” or “Create Outlines.” This converts patterns into editable vector shapes.

Save:  Once you have completed your artwork, save the file in the preferred format (Illustrator AI or PDF). Include any specific naming conventions or requirements if provided.

Submit: The file using our Die Line Template Upload Page
